Vanessa Bryant hosts ‘Success Event’ for single mothers at Working Wardrobes

On Thursday, Dec. 12th, twelve single mothers from Orange County received professional wardrobe and personal grooming services such as hair styling and makeup, and participated in a high-energy fashion show with the purpose of lifting their spirits and providing them with a special day of pampering. The event was hosted by Vanessa Bryant and her Foundation, in partnership with Working Wardrobes. Local hair stylists, makeup artists and personal shoppers also came together through Working Wardrobes’ volunteer community and kindly donated their time in benefit of the women served.

Vanessa Bryant was on-site for the event and spent the day interacting with guests on behalf of her family’s Foundation, offering advice, encouragement, and tips. Mrs. Bryant also came with bags of clothes, shoes and handbags straight from her closet and gave them to each of the participants.

The twelve women were served as part of the many services offered by Working Wardrobes, an organization that provides caring, compassionate life and career development services to people emerging from major life crises.  They were selected by their respective organizations based on personal and academic achievements, need and desire to succeed (six women from Santa Ana College CARE, a program designed to help students who are single parents achieve academic success, and six women from Latino Health Access, an organization that helps the under-served Latino community in Orange County through public health programs).
