Kobe and Vanessa join President Clinton for grand opening of Step Up on Vine

KVBFF founders Kobe and Vanessa Bryant were joined by President Bill Clinton on Monday, January 14, to celebrate the grand opening of Step Up on Vine, a permanent supportive housing project in Hollywood.

The event took place at Ben Kitay Studios – adjacent to the new housing structure – and welcomed hundreds of supporters, including city and county officials, entertainment industry leaders and celebrities.

After a tour of the new permanent supportive housing space, President Clinton commended Kobe and Vanessa for their role in making this happen.

“I watched them [Kobe and Vanessa] when I toured this facility, I saw the questions they asked, the things they looked at,” said Clinton, “They know this stuff and they care about these young people, and I am personally very grateful to Kobe and Vanessa Bryant for what they have done with their Foundation.”

After a live auction, Richie Sambora performed songs from his new solo album. The money raised from this event will go toward KVBFF and Step Up on Second’s initiatives to address homelessness in Los Angeles.

KVBFF would like to thank sponsors and in-kind donors Panini Authentic, Westfield LLC, the Aileen Getty Foundation, Stoli, Craig’s, Turkish Airlines, Christie’s Los Angeles and Ben Kitay Studios.

I love all that KVBFF is doing in the community. I cover non-profit events for media and as volunteer work (Photography). Would love to cover some of KVBFF events.
